Home Workout Essentials
Working out from home is the new trend for 2020! There are some MAJOR benefits to working out from home. I love the convenience factor, privacy (especially if I’m trying out a new workout) and cleanliness of using my own equipment. Gyms are one of the most germ ridden places due to the fact that many people are using the same equipment, mats and props. Although most gyms and studios have really improved their cleaning and disinfecting procedures due to COVID-19, some people just aren’t ready to step back into the public for a workout, and thats ok! Others just don’t want to bother with wearing a mask while working out, and I can definitely understand that.
Working out is essential for the body, mind and soul. In order to achieve a clear and healthy mind, you must move your body daily and challenge yourself in new ways!
Here are some products that I know and love! I have received a lot of questions from people asking what props, mats weights etc. I use for my at-home workouts. Check out the list below. I have most of these items, and as for the items I don’t own, I’ve used them before and believe in the quality.
- I love Manduka mats! This mat is great for people who want something with a little more support, especially for their knees. I own this thick Manduka yoga mat
- This Manduka mat is a little thinner and lighter to carry: Manduka yoga mat
- Check out this easy-to-store, universal mat carrier
- Cork mats are great for non-slip, especially if you like to sweat
- Here’s a super cute elephant mat carrier
- This mat carrier is great for unpleasant weather: waterproof mat carrier
- You should have a set of these non-slip resistance loops
- I also use Simply Fit resistance loops
- These long resistance bands are great for stretching and strengthening
- You may need long resistance loops with different handle options
- I use these lighter weights for my virtual classes and personal workouts
- I’m obsessed with these 2lb wrist weights
- This small ball is great for spinal extension stretching, core work and adductor (inner thigh) strength

There you have it! These items are small and easy to store in your closet. It’s worth the time and money to set yourself up at home with all the essentials! Props are key for boosting your workouts and adding an extra element that will challenge you. Reach out to me if you have questions, and I hope you enjoy your new props!
